Call for canadian applications related to offshore vessels from the French Oceanographic Fleet (FOF) Research Infrastructure from 2025 onwards, pursuant the agreement between Université Laval and Ifremer
This Call for applications, open in 2023 for campaigns from 2025 onwards, is dedicated to Canadian scientists for cruises to take place on deep sea vessels of French Oceanographic Fleet Research Infrastructure (IR* FOF) RV POURQUOI PAS?, RV L'ATALANTE and RV THALASSA.
The following timeline to obtain ship-time for campaigns from 2025 onwards is the following (a similar timeline will reoccur annually over the next 4 years to request ship-time from 2024 to 2027):
- September 27, 2023: Deadline for submission of "Application for a campaign at sea" documents via the Campaign Management System (CMS) (Système de Gestion des Campagnes) interface.
- November 28-30, 2023: Evaluation and classification by the joint ad hoc committee (France-Canada) of applications in plenary session.
- December 2023 to early December 2024: Examination of requests by Ifremer and Amundsen Science, followed by the development and validation of the 2025 activity calendar by the authorities of the two Parties.
